The Juliana Gibbons Collection

I started the New Year off in style with a big shoot and a great team.  The idea for the shoot came about after I saw and loved the Juliana's collection at the Evolution Fashion show which was held last July.  After the show I got in touch with Juliana and we started planning the shoot.  As I was already fully booked for the summer we arranged to delay the shoot until Juliana returned for the Christmas break.  (She's studying in NY at the Parsons, any project runway fans will be well aware of what that is).

I wanted a cool location for the shoot and as luck would have it I was chatting with Tanju at TK hair about locations and he mentioned that the roof above his salon was really cool.  Around that time I'd been in the UK and bought Hunger magazine, there was a really good shoot in there that was taken on the roof in a city.  I thought that something similar would work well for Juliana's collection.   Tanju also agreed to be the hair stylist for the shoot.  We did the shoot on a Saturday morning and Tanju was really busy with clients, so James Lee assisted Tanju and then James came to the shoot to fix any hair issues.   We decided to shoot 9 outfits from the collection and needed three tall models.  We chose Karina, Sophie and Tiara.  Afroditi offered to do the make up and since there was three models she also brought Kyla Tear along to help out.  Afroditi did Tiara and Sophie's make up and Kyla did Karina's.  Jonathan was the lighting assistant.
