2015 Swimsuit Series - #4 Brittney

If you follow my blog you will have noticed that I tend to do repeat shoots with more experienced models, but also like to mix in shoots with some new faces.  Generally when I choose to shoot a new face I consider their prior modeling experience and portfolio images.  This swimsuit shoot with Brittney was unusual in that she has no prior modeling experience whatsoever.  I decided to ask her for a shoot based entirely on her facebook pics taken by friends and family, which are quite gorgeous.

Due to Brittney's lack of modeling experience, I decided to keep the concept and poses fairly simple, gave lots of direction and also went with facial expressions that she was most comfortable with, mostly smiles.

The weather on the day was overcast and was meant to rain, but thankfully the rain stayed away long enough for us to complete the shoot.  However, the cloud cover did mean that the usual rim lighting I get from the sun, was not present and also the image colours and in particular the water was rather dull.  I had to enhance the contrast (curves) and saturation in photoshop.
