The shoot took place on Friday morning, the girls were at Salon Pink for hair and make-up at 4.30am. Pinky and Rinelle were styling the hair and Maria was doing the make-up.
Meanwhile I had been working through the night on the pics of the International Designer show from the night before. I managed to get about 3 hours sleep before I had to get up and go meet everyone at the salon at 7am. Amir styled the looks and was also able to come to the shoot and act as creative director. It's the first time I've worked alongside Amir and his creativity, knowledge of the industry and posing do's and don'ts is very impressive. I learned a lot, and of course his endless amounts of energy and positive attitude is infectious.
We did the shoot at Fort Scaur and met up with Justin Cann who had volunteered to be my lighting assistant for the shoot. The first set of images that we took with Crystal ended up being about half of the images that we took on the day, Amir was really putting Crystal through her paces and we ended up with a large variety of poses. By the time we came to shoot the other 3 looks it was getting hot and everyone was starting to feel the effects of the late night/early morning, so plan became to get at least one good image per look.
