Nea Pantry - Make Up By Serena Brangman

 This is the fourth in the series of beauty shoots that I did with make up artist Serena Brangman.  The model is Nea Pantry.  I have been wanting to shoot with Nea since 2008 when we briefly shot at a group event with multiple models and photographers.  However, Nea was has been off island a lot away at college and my summers have been booked by the time she has returned.  I was pleased to hear that Serena had chosen her as one of the models.

I shot this series using a black velvet sheet as the backdrop.  Black velvet absorbs almost all the light that falls on it resulting in no reflections and a very good representation of black.  The light set up was the same as I used for the first series with Sophie,  Beauty dish at the front just to camera left and the gridded softbox behind Nea on the right side.

For these shoots I decided to take a shot of each model before they went into make up so that you can see the transformation that occurs from Hair and Make up.
