When I asked Savannah whether there was a concept that she wanted to shoot she mentioned that she would like to do one of the wet look shoots that I started doing last year. We had intended to switch it up and shoot it outdoors in and around a pool, but unfortunately we were unable to use the pool on the day of the shoot so decided to shoot at whitespace studio instead. 
This is the third time this year I've shot with Aliana, on this occasion 
Today I helped out at a charity fund raiser in support of The Bombchel Factory. It was organised by Kristin White and Kondwani Williams. The idea was to support the charity with an African themed photoshoot.
It was week 4 of a photography challenge that I am participating in and the topic for this week was "Headshot". I decided to do a beauty shoot and asked Aliana to be the model. I'd recently shot with her and loved the way her face photographs. I searched for some inspiration images and found two looks that I liked. I asked Afroditi to do the make-up and she blended both inspirations into this one look.
The head pieces and dresses in this shoot were created for the Evolution Hair and Beauty show which occurred in July 2015. The dresses were created by Chineza Augustus (Sevhn) and the hair pieces by Cindy Roberts (Salon Viola). After seeing the show I wanted to shoot the collection, but unfortunately my summer was already fully booked and then I went on a break from September to December. Fortunately when I started to plan some shoots for the Christmas holidays I found out the dresses were still available and the hair pieces were still intact. 
Sophie mentioned that she would be on island over the Christmas break so we arranged this shoot. As I already had whitespace studio booked for Karina's shoot we decided to double up and shoot Sophie in the same session. Sophie and Maria came up with the concept, which was a beauty shoot using gold make up with gold leaf flakes. 
I'd had Alize on my "models I want to shoot" list of a while, so when I booked the studio to shoot Josie I decided to double up and shoot Alize as well. We came up with two very different concepts and rather than posting them in two separate blog posts I'm going to combine them in this one post. The first was a sportswear shoot with the intention of capturing Alize's beautiful lean figure and long legs. The second concept was a colourful beauty shoot giving Maria the opportunity to go little crazy. We ended the beauty shoot with a bit of a bondage theme :D
This is another shoot from August. I did so many shoots during the summertime that I'm still working through the backlog. I have one more to go.
I first shot with Karissa in May when she was one of the five models that took part in the London Calling shoot. I loved the way she photographed and asked her if she was interested in doing another shoot toward the end of the summer. I had whitespace studio booked for a morning in August, so I doubled up and shot Tiara's shoes shoot and this shoot with Karissa in the same session. It was a quick shoot lasting less than an hour. We kept the concept as a simple sexy jeans shoot. Maria did the make-up.
I did this shoot with Tiara during my stay-cation week in mid-August. When discussing possible concepts Tiara suggested that she style a shoot based around a collection of shoes that she owns. She used her own eclectic wardrobe to come up with all these weird and wonderful looks.
Rochelle contacted me several months ago and mentioned that she would be home for several weeks around cup match and wanted to shoot. Its been a couple of years since we have shot together, although last year I shot her windows collection but she was the designer and stylist on that shoot not the model. Rochelle came up with the concept for this shoot, which was loosely based on a image she found of a model crouching in water, wearing bright colors and an Asian style hat. 
In the summer of 2014 Yuki and I had made plans to do a sexy style shoot based on FHM covers. However, our calendars never aligned and the shoot was put off to this summer. We finally got together a couple of weeks ago at whitespace studio and created something kind of hot.
Maria and Sophie wanted to do a beauty shoot so Maria came up with the concept which had a bright and fun vibe similar to a teen magazine. She then sourced all the clothes and accessories from online stores and was then responsible for styling
the hair and doing the make-up.
I first saw the Novah swimwear brand on Instagram back in 2014. I finally realised that the owner and designer was Bermudian, Madeline White. I messaged Madeline and asked if I could loan some of her outfits for my 2015 swimsuit series. Madeline, who lives in the UK, was back on the island as one of the designers featured in the Local Designers show of the Bermuda Fashion Festival . 
As part of the Bermuda Fashion Festival there were several international models visiting the island. Amir had told me that Crystal and Sydia, who are agency represented models from Jamaica, would be here and available for a shoot if I was interested. Of course I was interested !!
The Bermuda Fashion Festival 2015 kicked off on Monday 6th with the Hair and Beauty show, but for me it started two days earlier with this shoot with celebrity model Aminat Ayinde. Aminat is signed with Ice Models (SA) but is probably best known for her TV appearances in ANTM (cycle 12) and Project Runway All-stars (season 2).
